Drinks and a movie are better at home

I guess everyone now loves the idea of having a cocktail while seeing the latest flicks! It sure beats popcorn and soda! However, because of this new trend- the bar at the movie theater is ALWAYS packed and the bartenders can't keep up with the orders- or with keeping the refrigerator stocked with cold beer. Maybe they need a bigger fridge, or maybe they need another one. Maybe I will just stick to the soda next time- or just wait for it to come out on U-verse.

Eat, Drink, and Watch Golf

Yesterday we all piled in our cars and headed out to the golf course. It was a beautiful day to watch golf and spend time with family and friends. Mid afternoon we decided we needed lunch and beers. The burgers were delicious, however the beer was not so much. It was 6 dollars a pop- which meant we were only having one- and it was in the aluminum bottles. Those are tricky little guys- they ALWAYS feel like the beer will be ice cold- but its hit or miss- and on a day like yesterday- it was a miss. However, it was side bar to the day. We had a great time, saw great golf, and spent the day with great people! Cheers to that!

The Yard House

This past weekend John and I went to San Antonio with some friends. We went to dinner at a place called the Yard House- which sells beers in pints or in half yards. We had to have the half yard- which equals about 2 1/2 beers. The biggest problem with this- was half way through the drink your beer is warm. FAIL. Note to self- cold beer just doesnt stay cold in a half yard- however, it is cool to hold!
